Last to Go

lyrics

A hundred feet below
a large palazzo
they're swapping notes
pockets full
hard to view it all
not bought, not sold
if they sleep at all
hope it's terrible

For you
the solitude
is how you sooth

Not hard to toe
the status quo
to be stubborn is
to be the last to go
with these parting words
I beg you, let it go
it's all been hard enough
you lost, you know

You walk so slow
you look around you
you keep focus
on what's possible
all said before
all ruse I'm quite sure
such a vacant soul
that I don't care so much

But you
your attitude
its noxious hue
precedes when you enter a room

It's not hard to sow
something we all could use
to be stubborn is
to be the last to know
with this parting thought
I'll tell you where to go
it's all been hard enough
you lost, you know
